Branch Outlet
A forged reinforced outlet — weldolet, sockolet, threadolet and similar — that replaces a pad-reinforced branch connection.
MSS SP-97 outlets carry the branch reinforcement in the forging itself, giving a lower stress concentration than a set-on branch with a reinforcing pad and a cleaner radiograph. Because the body is contoured to the run pipe, the run size, branch size and schedule of both must appear on the order — an outlet machined for the wrong run diameter will not seat.
